On the eve of AGROSALON, we talked with the head of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Rostov-on-Don Research Institute of Radio Communications” Stanislav Degtyarev, who shared with us his expectations for the upcoming exhibition.
The company will take part in AGROSALON for the first time and will present its innovative projects to the guests. However, Stanislav will tell you everything himself...
Why, in your opinion, is it especially important and relevant now to hold exhibitions such as AGROSALON-2024?
Stanislav Degtyarev: Right now, in 2024, many companies have “ripened” those products in the field of import substitution that were “sown” several years ago. Figuratively speaking, 2024 is the period of “harvesting import substitution.” At this exhibition we are going to show the results of our development work in the form of samples ready for serial delivery.
In addition, it is in this year 2024 that the major manufacturers of electronic equipment for agricultural machinery must agree on the rules and protocols for exchanging data between different devices. The first business event, “Universal platform for data exchange in agriculture,” where we took part, took place under the auspices of the Rosspetsmash Association last year in Krasnodar. Naturally, all interested producers and users should participate in such a large forum as Agrosalon if they want their proposals to be taken into account in the future standard for digital platforms for agriculture.
After all, it is very important that your developments not only have high performance, but also be able to “communicate” according to the same clear rules with integrated services.
What are you bringing to the Agrosalon exhibition in 2024? Is there anything surprising?
Stanislav Degtyarev: We will present at the exhibition a line of sensors from the SFC (Smart Facility Control) system. SFC is a trademark name we received from Rospatent, which can be translated as “smart device control.” Among our developments is the “Grunt – SFC” sensor for remote measurement of soil parameters, which allows year-round transmission of information on soil temperature and moisture at various depths via radio channel.
We are confident that the electronic multimodal data logger “Service - SFC” will also be of particular interest, which is a new class of devices that successfully combines the advantages of both electronic tags (equipment identification and low cost) and on-board recorders (recording operating conditions of equipment, vibration and time-stamped strikes). The datalogger “Service - SFC” implements three of our patents for inventions, which allows us to solve many pressing problems. A manufacturer of agricultural equipment, for example, can detect violations of equipment operation requirements and withdraw claims for warranty repairs.
The owner of the equipment will be informed about any abnormal vibrations of the unit or operation at odd hours. The remaining capabilities of the “Service - SFC” datalogger will be demonstrated at our stand using working samples.
What did participation in the Agrosalon in previous years give you (new clients, understanding of the market, what the needs are, what technologies are available, in what direction you need to develop)? What are your expectations from the exhibition this year?
Stanislav Degtyarev: We are taking part in the Agrosalon exhibition for the first time, but we hope that the exhibition will become a permanent platform for us to demonstrate our developments.
