The packer during plowing is mainly used where there is no time for gradual settling and recreating the natural looseness of the soil. It directly restores capillarity and thus allows moisture to be retained in the soil. The plow specialist LEMKEN introduces a new semi-mounted device for the proven VarioPack packer, which also makes it easy to transport large packers used with six-furrow plows or large mounted and semi-mounted plows on the road.

The fifth wheel VarioPack is hitched to the tractor with a trailer bar and quickly transported to the field at speeds up to 40 km/h approved in the EU. With a transport width of 2.80 m, even narrow terrain is no problem.

The transition from transport to working position is carried out hydraulically from the tractor cab. The VarioPack grippers are adjustable in length, height and sides and can therefore be best adapted to the respective conditions.

This ensures a secure grip even on slopes, and the packer can be guided close to the plow to minimize side pull. The fifth wheel coupling is available for large VarioPack double packers with a width of 70 or 90 centimeters.
