On the eve of the AGROSALON exhibition, where the best manufacturers of agricultural machinery gather, we decided to talk with the director of the St. Petersburg Tractor Plant, Sergei Serebryakov.
Sergey told us about the prospects for participation in the project and what innovative developments the plant will present at the exhibition.
It is important to understand that participation in events such as AGROSALON not only helps to popularize the brand and attract new customers, but also creates opportunities for exchanging experiences and finding new partners. The meeting with the plant director once again confirmed that innovation and cooperation are key factors for successful development in agriculture.
Why, in your opinion, is it especially important and relevant now to hold exhibitions such as AGROSALON-2024?
The relevance of holding the exhibition and participating in it is connected for us with a number of internal and external reasons.
On the one hand, we, as a leading enterprise in the domestic tractor industry, are constantly updating our model range, offering the market new useful options, and making the tractor control system more advanced. External factors in the market are also constantly changing. Some suppliers of tractor equipment are being replaced by others, new manufacturers of implements appear that are interesting to us as partners.
And, most importantly, our client is changing. Getting to know the leaders of new enterprises and agricultural holdings, and renewing relationships with regular customers is one of the main objectives of the exhibition.
What are you bringing to the AGROSALON exhibition in 2024? Is there anything surprising?
As always, we will bring our flagship, most powerful Kirovets with 460 hp. in a premium design and with a whole range of useful options. We will bring a new product for us – a grain harvester. At AGROSALON we will tell you in more detail about this interesting joint project. We will also bring an updated line of Kirovets K-5 series tractors with a new gearbox control system. And, of course, the Universal-2 tractor. This is not the first time he will come to the exhibition. This time, the retro site is associated with the centenary of domestic tractor manufacturing, which we are celebrating.
What did participation in AGROSALON give you in previous years (new clients, understanding of the market, what the needs are, what technologies are available, in what direction you need to develop)? What are your expectations from the exhibition this year?
We remember the last exhibition because, in our opinion, we had one of the most visited exhibitions. This is also due to the objective interest of farmers in our equipment and the special atmosphere of friendship with both our dealers and end customers. Hence both new acquaintances and commercial success from participation. This year we hope for good attendance and new interesting exhibitions with equipment.
